কি জানি এক দুঃস্বপ্নে আচমকা ঘুম ভেঙে যাওয়া..... শৌচকাজ সম্পন্ন করে এসে আবার শুয়ে পড়া। ঘুম আসি আসি। আবার চোখ সজাগ হয়ে উঠলো। এবার বাঁধ সাধলো প্রকৃতি। হঠাৎ তুমুল শীতল ঘূর্ণি প্রবাহ! বাতায়ন খোলা ছিল। তাই ঠান্ডা পরশ সরাসরি সেখান দিয়ে এসে মশারীর ছোট ছিদ্রগুলো ভেদ করে গায়ে মাখিয়ে দিয়ে গেলো! চমৎকার বিজলী আলো মুহূর্মুহূ চোখের পাতার উপর প্রতিফলিত হলো। মেঘমিলনের সুমধুর 'গুড় গুড়' ধ্বনি কর্ণকুহরে টোকা দিলো। সজাগ হয়ে উঠলো আবার তনু-মন। আরো বেশি করে পেতে চাইলাম এই মধুর শীতল পরশ; ভালোভাবে পেতে চাইলাম আরো প্রকৃতির এই চমৎকার সান্নিধ্য; হয়তো মন ঘেমে ছিলো তাই। বারান্দায় এসে বসে পড়ি কাঠের কেদারায়। আবছা আলো-আঁধারিতেই বুঝতে কষ্ট হলো না যে আকাশের মুখ কালো। অনুমান আরো সত্য হয়ে ধরা দিতে শুরু করে, যখন একটু পরই পূব আকাশে ফুটতে শুরু করে দিনমণি। আকাশের বুক বেয়ে বড় বড় মেঘখণ্ড দিক্বিদিক ভেসে বেড়াতে দেখি তখন। ধীরে ধীরে মেঘমালার সখ্য বেড়ে যাচ্ছিলো আরো। সব খণ্ড খণ্ড মেঘ হঠাৎই পরষ্পরকে জড়িয়ে নিলো ভালো করে। বিজলী আলোর প্রতিফলন আর মেঘমালার সঙ্গমের তীব্র গোঙানিও বেড়ে যেতে লাগলো। বুঝতে বাকী রইলো না, মেঘমিলনের...
